South Louisiana Giving Day Overview
Beginning at midnight on Thursday, May 9, 2019, donors can visit www.SouthLouisianaGivingDay.org on their personal computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone and make a donation to an organization or cause of their choice. It's a day designated to help nonprofit organizations, churches and schools fund-raise for a general purpose or for a specific initiative. It's that easy!
What is South Louisiana Giving Day?
South Louisiana Giving Day is a 24-hour online giving event organized by Community Foundation of Acadiana (CFA). The goal of South Louisiana Giving Day is to inspire the community to come together for 24 hours to contribute as many charitable dollars as possible to support the work of local nonprofit organizations, churches and schools. Using your personal computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone, you are enouraged to visit www.SouthLouisianaGivingDay.org, select a participant's profile page and make a donation. It's that easy!

South Louisiana Giving Day will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 12:00:01 AM - 11:59:59 PM.
Where is South Louisiana Giving Day?
South Louisiana Giving Day is an online, web based event. All event-related donations can be made online by visiting www.SouthLouisianaGivingDay.org during the day of the event on Thursday, May 9, 2019. The event will be managed from the office of Community Foundation of Acadiana in Lafayette, Louisiana.
How do I participate?
Registration for South Louisiana Giving Day will begin on Monday, December 3, 2018 and end on Friday, January 18, 2019. Interested nonprofit organizations, churches and schools wishing to participate are required to attend an informational meeting located at Community Foundation of Acadiana, 1035 Camellia Boulevard, Suite 100, Lafayette, Louisiana. Our office is located in the River Ranch area of Lafayette, Louisiana.
Requirements to participate
When the registration period opens on Monday, December 3, 2018, you are required to submit an electronic inquiry form which can be found on the front page of www.SouthLouisianaGivingDay.org. Once we receive your electronic inquiry form, it will be determined if you qualify to participate. If approved, you'll receive an email from us with login and password information. Once you've created your password, you'll have access to your personal profile page. You are required to set up your profile page within five (5) days of approval. Items to think about for your profile page:
- a brief description about your organization and your fundraising efforts/goal
- a photo that best represents your organization; more photos are encouraged
- a professionally desiged logo that represents your organization; not required but encouraged
- a website address, not required but encouraged
- social media links to your facebook, twitter and instagram pages; not required but encouraged
- a video featuring your organization; not required but encouraged
Who is Community Foundation of Acadiana?
Community Foundation of Acadiana is the host of South Louisiana Giving Day. CFA is a tax-exempt, nonprofit foundation whose core purpose is improving communities and building leagacies by connecting generous people to the causes they care about.
